Patrice Smith, DDS
As an expert in all forms of braces and aligners, I have the great opportunity to care for a diverse population and form long-lasting relationships with a variety of people. I get to see kids grow up and witness people of all ages transform into more beautiful, confident versions of themselves. I’m passionate about keeping up with the latest in orthodontic technology. My practice blends cutting-edge research and tools with traditional, tried-and-tested orthodontic techniques to provide patients with world-class care every time. I am committed to developing innovative orthodontic solutions to meet each patient’s unique needs, and I have extensive experience with a range of treatment options, including digital tools such as Inbrace behind the teeth braces, 3D-printed brackets from LightForce Orthodontics as well as aligners, and other treatment methods.
I am humbled by the trust each person places in our team. Here at Infinity Orthodontics, we are serious about orthodontics and committed to delivering exceptional care. Each team member brings their own knowledge and experience to the office, and together we ensure our patients are smiling at each visit. We care about patients as people, first and foremost, and are attentive and respectful of each person’s situation.
Growing up on the beautiful island of Jamaica, I attended Northern Caribbean University for dual bachelor’s degrees in biology and dental hygiene. To pursue my advanced education, I attended Howard University for both my Doctorate of Dental Surgery and my specialty degree in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.
After my residency, I lived in various cities to get a more comprehensive experience and build my expertise in orthodontics. I am happy to be back in the DC area with the skillset to offer my patients the highest standard of care.
Working in the healthcare field, I understand that learning never stops. I always strive for excellence, to increase my knowledge base, and improve my skills to provide the best possible treatment for my patients.
To that end, I am a member of several professional organizations that provide opportunities for continuing education, including:
- American Association of Orthodontists
- American Dental Association
- National Dental Association
- DC Dental Society
When I am not at the office, I enjoy participating in philanthropic projects (mission trips). I am the cofounder of a nonprofit organization that provides free dental services to individuals in developing countries who have little or no access to dental care. I also enjoy traveling, visiting museums, making divinely scented candles, and spending quality time with my husband and newborn son, Braxton.
